SXSW IT Boot camps or College?
When existng IT college providers were asked if the new wave of education platforms would work most of them replied with responses including:
MOOCS have not worked
On-line learning isn't making an impact
Boot camps are too short
etc.
For all of these new approaches it is too early to judge an impact.One thing is certain- the traditional education providers are not producing the types of employees that industry wants. The other element that is a certainty is that there are just not enough graduates coming out from traditional colleges to meet the overwhelming demand in the US and other parts of the globe.
